A shell and tube heat exchanger is a type of heat exchanger used in various industrial processes to transfer heat between two fluids. It consists of a shell (a cylindrical vessel) and a series of tubes (smaller cylindrical tubes) within the shell. One fluid flows through the tubes, while the other flows around the outside of the tubes within the shell. Heat is exchanged between these two fluids through the tube walls.
